On Sunday, May 5, 2013, around 4:20pm, A West Shore Regional Police Officer was observing traffic in the 1st block of Market Street, Lemoyne. He observed a vehicle fail to negotiate the curve in the road and strike the curb. The impact caused a tire to pop, but the vehicle continued to travel into Wormleysburg.
The officer initiated a traffic stop and the vehicle stopped in the 300 block of South Front Street, Wormleysburg. The driver was identified as 28 year old Philip Stephen WAGONER, from the 100 block of North River Street, Wormleysburg. While speaking with WAGONER, he exhibited signs of being intoxicated and was placed under arrest.
WAGONER was transported to the Carlisle Regional Medical Center where he submitted to a blood test. He was then taken to the Cumberland County Prison, where he was processed and charged with Driving Under the Influence. The charges will be filed with MDJ Beckley’s office upon receipt of the blood test results.
