Commercial Driver Arrested For DUI

On Friday, December 6, 2013, around 1:40pm, a 41-year-old Carbondale man, was arrested for DUI, by the West Shore Regional Police. Dale Joseph COX, from the 1st block of 7th Avenue, Carbondale, PA, was operating a commercial box truck, when he was stopped for a commercial  motor vehicle inspection.

During the inspection, an officer detected an odor of Marijuana.  Further investigation found that COX was allegedly in possession of Marijuana and he admitted to having smoked some before reporting for work that day.

COX was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and was transported to Carlisle Regional Medical Center where he submitted to a blood test.  COX was then transported to the Cumberland County Prison where he was processed and charged with 2 counts of Driving Under the Influence and Possession of Marijuana.  Charges will be filed with MDJ Beckley’s office once the test results are received.
